Social Media Content Consultant

Summary: 

 

Zoe Center desires to enter into a Social Media Content Consultant agreement for our various social media platforms. The Social Media Consultant will oversee our social media presence in alignment with our church mission, vision, and strategy. The Social Media Consultant will be responsible for creating and implementing a plan for each social media site. This will include writing engaging posts and coordinating shoots and interviews in collaboration with our media and graphics team.

 

The successful consultant will have a demonstrated commitment to Jesus, as well as a passion for ministry, have professional experience, and provide a history of successful teamwork. We are a well-established and thriving ministry in Whittier, California with a need and desire to be present and relevant in online communities. 

 

Contract Budget: $1,500 monthly 

 

Scope of Work:  

 

The Social Media Content Consultant will:

  • Develop and execute a social media campaign 
  • Create a content template & calendar with the media ministry
  • Write, schedule and post content 
  • Monitor activity on all social media platforms, make adjustments, interpret social media analytics to present to the media team and staff 
  • Interact on all platforms, responding to posts and messages as needed  
  • Participate in brainstorming and regular meetings with creative teams and staff 
  • Recruit volunteers to the social media team 
  • Coordinate or provide training for new volunteer recruits
  • Research social media trends, provide analytics, and inform teams of relevant church marketing activities 
  • Attend Zoe Center Sunday service and special events or schedule a team member to be present 
  • Take photos and/or videos as needed 

The Social Media Content Consultant will have: 

  • Experience posting on and managing multiple social media platforms 
  • Demonstrated familiarity with church ministry
  • Proficiency in file sharing management systems 
  • Experience in professional and creative online writing  
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and multiple projects and to work under pressure to meet deadlines 
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player

The Social Media Content Consultant will stand out if they have: 

  • A bachelor’s degree 
  • Knowledge and experience with Adobe editing and graphic design software 
  • Photography and/or Videography skills 
  • Experience managing video shoots 

Must-Have: 

  • Portfolio available online. 
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. 
  • Strong eye for typography, color, and layout. 
  • Highly adaptable and able to work under pressure with the ability to work effectively in a high-volume production environment with tight deadlines and fast turnarounds. 
  • Possesses the ability to receive design critique gracefully. 
  • Project management and organization skills. 

Desirable Skills: 

  • Understands how to use our brand guide. 
  • Ability to communicate the ‘why’ behind your design choices. 
  • Loves feedback…like really loves it. 
  • You believe the church is God’s plan for bringing hope to the world. 
  • Ideal consultants will be successful video storytellers. 

Anticipated Time Commitments: 

  • 3-4 hours per week 
  • 1 Monthly On-site Meetings

Videographer/Editor Consultant

Summary:

 

The Videographer/Editor Consultant will collaborate with the Creative Media Team to develop and produce videos that support ministry programs and events at Zoe Center. The ideal consultant will possess exceptional attention to detail and the ability to guide projects from idea to execution. They will bring extensive knowledge of capturing footage and editing, technology techniques, and best practices to our organization. Beyond their ability to capture and edit great videos, they are an innovative and creative thinker that will help move our entire organization forward. 

 

Contract Budget: $1,500 monthly 

 

Scope of Work: 

  • Capture video of Zoe Center service, activities, interviews, and events 
  • Edit high-quality church-wide videos for the church service, website, and social media. 
  • Attend Zoe Center Sunday service and special events or schedule a team member to be present

Must-Have: 

  • Portfolio available online. 
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro. 
  • Strong eye for typography, color, and layout. 
  • Highly adaptable and able to work under pressure with the ability to work effectively in a high-volume production environment with tight deadlines and fast turnarounds.

  • Ideal consultants should have experience professionally managing video shoots and productions.

  • 2 Monthly Meetings
