“YOU ARE A PART OF SOMETHING BIGGER”

A two-year initiative for Zoe Center’s phase 1.

GIVE TO IMAGINE

Isn’t it amazing that the Lord knew we would need to renovate our sanctuary as a result of a fire? God is doing a new thing, and you are here for such a time as this. Now, imagine yourself being a part of something bigger, here, at Zoe Center with Imagine.

Imagine is a two-year generosity initiative that will allow us to carry out our mission to help people change their lives for God’s purpose and continue to make a kingdom impact. Through this initiative, we have an opportunity to partner with God and fulfill His mission for us in Whittier. As we move forward to rebuild a sanctuary that was deemed unusable because of uncontrollable and unforeseen circumstances, we endeavor to expand our influence, revitalize existing resources, and create a space that will allow us to better welcome our local and extended community.

FAQs

FAQs

Q: Why are we renovating?

A: We need to renovate sections of the sanctuary, front lobby, restrooms, and surrounding areas due to the fire that occurred on April 28, 2024. As renovations are already in progress, this presents an excellent opportunity to upgrade essential infrastructure and equipment, including our audio, video, and lighting systems. Additionally, we will make improvements to the stage, balcony, and sanctuary and lobby furnishings, which will be above the cost covered by fire insurance reimbursements.

Q: How long is the Imagine initiative?

A: Imagine is a two-year initiative beginning Sunday, November 8, 2025, and concluding on Sunday, October 31, 2027.

Q: What is the projected cost of the construction and renovation?

A: Estimated costs are approximately $2.3million. These estimates reflect 2025 pricing for construction, equipment, and furnishing costs.

Q: When do we plan to begin construction?

A: Construction should begin towards the latter part of October 2025.

Q: Should I redirect my tithes to the Imagine fund?

A: No. Our first priority is supporting Zoe and its current ministries with our tithes and offerings. Imagine is an over-and-above gifting, which will look different for each person. It may be taking another step towards generosity or finding a way to prioritize our personal expenses, so we can participate in the growth of God’s kingdom.

Q: How can I get more personally involved with Imagine?

A: First, we ask each of you to pray. Pray for our church to live out our vision of making disciples of Jesus Christ, starting with our local community and reaching further throughout the world. Second, ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in increasing your generosity in giving to Imagine. Third, exercise your faith to trust God to enable you to do what He is prompting you to do. Lastly, be an ambassador! Invite others to be a blessing to Imagine. Support the Pastor and staff with uplifting words of encouragement prayers regarding the Imagine initiative.

Q: How do I make my commitment? Is it confidential?

A: You will be given a commitment card on which you can indicate your goal for Giving. Your card will be kept confidential (just like tithes and offerings) and will be collected during the Imagine initiative. To make an actual payment you can indicate on an envelope or online on the Giving page, that the payment is for the Imagine initiative.

Q: How much will each person be expected to give?

A: The only expectation is that each person/family pray and ask God what He would have them to give. While the amounts will obviously be different for everyone, our hope is that each person will take personal ownership in the project and be led to give generously, even sacrificially. Not equal gifts, but equal sacrifice.

Q: What if we don’t reach our goal of $2.3 million?

A: If we don’t meet our goal of $2.3 million, we may need to reassess and explore additional funding sources or extend the campaign timeline. Open communication with the congregation is important. However, we have great faith that God will exceed our goal! He is able!
