What kind of church is Zoe Center?

Zoe Center is a non-denominational, congregational church founded upon God’s Word. Congregational churches are Protestant Christian churches in which each congregation independently and autonomously runs its own affairs.

 

Membership in a congregational church carries a special privilege: it is the privilege of partnership. Our members are invited to join us in advancing the Kingdom of God through sound biblical teaching, discipleship, ministry outreach, and global missions.

 

 

What time and how long is your Sunday service?

Zoe currently offers one service on Sunday at 10:30 am. Our service offers great contemporary music, a relevant message, a welcoming, loving atmosphere, and friendly people who are eager to meet you and connect with you.

 

Our service lasts approximately 1.5 hours. We recommend arriving about 30 minutes before the service to allow time for parking and seating.

 

 

What is your worship like?

Worship through music is a high priority for Zoe, as we believe our praise ushers in the Holy Spirit. Our praise team and choirs minister contemporary worship songs with a full band. Our gifted musicians and singers also present original worship songs and music as they allow the Holy Spirit to flow through them.

 

We also believe in worshiping God through dance and drama. Zoe has a special focus in the creative arts. We use music, song, dance, drama, as well as technology, such as video presentations, to worship God and teach His word.

 

We are excited to use our anointed time of praise and worship as an avenue to worship God. We want everyone who comes through the door to experience the life changing power of worship through music, according to Psalm 100:1-4.

 

 

 

 

Where will my kids go?

Zoe is a family-friendly church with a strong commitment to building a Godly foundation in our children, youth and young adults. We offer specialized ministry for children and youth of all ages – from infants through teenagers.

• Zoe Little Kids Ministry focuses on pre-school and kindergarten-aged children. Infant care is provided for babies eight weeks and up.

• Zoe Kids Ministry is designed for elementary school-aged children.

• Zoe Kids and Zoe Little Kids ministries are offered every Sunday at 10:30 am beginning August 1, 2021. We also have a Virtual Bible Study on 1st Thursdays at 6:30 pm.

• Our dynamic Synergy Ministry for junior high and high school students is offered in the South Worship Center on 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays during our 10:30 am service.

All of our children and youth ministries allow your children to experience the promises of God through praise, worship and biblical instruction, according to Matthew 19:14.

 

 

 

 

What should I wear?

There is no dress code at our church. Some people dress up, and just as many come dressed casually. When you worship with us you should be comfortable. Your comfort may be traditional church attire, jeans and sneakers or business casual. Come as you are! Matthew 11:28-30

 

 

Will I be asked to give an offering?

As a guest, you are welcome but not expected to make an offering. The Tithes and Offerings portion of our service is a time of celebration at Zoe. Our members are excited to give as part of their commitment to God and the church, according to Luke 6:38.

 

 

As a visitor, will I have to say anything or be singled out?

You will not be asked to say anything or introduce yourself as a visitor. As our way of welcoming you, we do ask all of our guests to raise their hands so that we may greet you. You will be given a guest information card to fill out if you would like more information about our church. After our services, you will be invited to attend a brief First Time Guest reception to welcome you, introduce ourselves, and give you more information about our church. If you prefer not to stand or attend the First Time Guest Reception, that is fine too. We do not want you to do anything that would make you feel uncomfortable. Luke 19:34

 

 

 

 

If I need prayer, will Zoe pray for me?

Zoe is a praying church. We pray corporately on Monday evenings at 7 pm. During some services, the Pastor will invite those who are in need of healing to stand or come forward and be prayed for to receive their healing, according to Mark 16:17-18. An invitation is given after each service for those who are in need of salvation. If you wish, you may also send prayer requests through the Prayer Request form on our website or call the church office. Your prayer request will be forwarded to one of our ministry leaders.

 

 

Does your church take Communion?

Communion is taken on the first Sunday of each month. All believers in Christ are welcome to participate. 1 Corinthians 11:23-29

 

 

Will I have a chance to meet the Pastor?

Dr. Joshua and Mrs. Marsee look forward to meeting guests and spending time with members after service. They are usually available in the foyer to greet guests and friends.

 

 

 

 

What does Zoe mean?

The word Zoe is a Greek word meaning “the God kind of life.” Zoe is the life that Jesus wanted us to have according to St. John 10:10.

 

 

Who attends Zoe?

Our members and guests are young and old, single and married, with and without children. The majority of our members are families with children and teenagers, but there are also those who are young married couples, and singles of all ages.
