Zoe Kids is our Children’s Ministry at Zoe Center. We are committed to reaching children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a fun and exciting way! Our ministry program is geared to grow and develop students, spiritually, academically, physically and socially. We do this by providing kid-friendly bible lessons, activities, games and music. We provide infant care for children eight weeks and older and offer child ministry ranging from pre-school to grade 6. We also provide care for special needs for toddlers to grade 6, with mild to moderate special educational needs that include learning disabilities, communication disorders, emotional and behavioral disorders (such as ADHD and ADD). We have professionals who are experienced serving children with special needs as part of their daily vocations. Zoe Kids happens every Sunday during our 10:30 am service and 1st Thursdays during Virtual Bible Study at 6:30 pm.

Preschool – K

March 2023

Preschoolers love trying to do things like grown-ups. They like to press buttons on computers and jump high to throw the basketball or stir the food to make something yummy to eat. Being able to say they can do things like Mommy or Daddy is a big deal!

This month, we are teaching preschoolers something else they can do that’s a really big deal. They can love like Jesus! We want preschoolers to know that they can love like Jesus, and when they love like Jesus, it’s like tossing confetti everywhere! Serving others, showing kindness, helping and loving everyone—these are things that even our youngest children can do. And when they do, they love like Jesus.

February 2023

Have you noticed any heart-shaped candy boxes or giant teddy bears in stores yet? It’s that time of year when we do extra special things to show people how much we love them. One sweet way to do that has always been with candy hearts. Candy hearts are such a fun way to show someone you love them, which goes perfectly with what we are teaching preschoolers this month. After all, everything Jesus did while He was on earth was to show us how much He loves us. And if there’s one thing we really want preschoolers to know, it’s that Jesus loves them.

“Forgiveness”

No matter how much we mess up, God will always forgive us. Jesus even chose to forgive those who were crucifying Him. Because God forgives us, we should work hard to forgive others. We can decide that someone who has wronged us doesn’t have to pay. With God’s help, we can free ourselves from the weight of anger and bitterness, while giving the other person an opportunity to rewrite the story.

“Respect”

We often think about respect in terms of vertical relationships with have with others—respect for parents, teachers, and people in authority. Those are important, but equally important are the more horizontal relationships we have with people, like siblings, friends, and even people we may not get along with. This idea of valuing others and having mutual respect is seen all throughout Scripture and is a necessary way to communicate with others and demonstrate God’s love with them.

We see throughout Scripture that all people have value because they were created in God’s image. God values us and wants a forever relationship with us. God sent Jesus to make that possible. We follow God’s example when we show others that they have value too.
